Red velvet is a delicious cake that is loved by many people and this cake comes from the New York area, United States. This cake has a dense texture but is very soft to eat. This cake is also very made when there is a special event or suitable for a meal while relaxing at home with the family. You can also try making this redvelvet cake at home, but before you try to start making this red velvet cake, it would be nice if you already have some of the ingredients, as listed below.

  • 340g wheat flour (low protein)
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 227g unsalted butter
  • 300g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp red food coloring
  • 4 chicken eggs
  • 240ml liquid milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 150g cream cheese
  • 75g powdered sugar
  • 350ml heavy cream (stir until stiff)
How To Make:
  1. Make the Cream cheese frosting: Stir in the cream cheese and add the powdered sugar on a high mixer speed until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Next, add the whipped cream, stir again until everything is evenly mixed. Place the frosting in a plastic triangle and store in the refrigerator.
  3. Make Red Velvet Cake: Sift flour and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  4. Stir in the unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract using a mixer speed until the mixture is smooth.
  5. add the eggs one by one while stirring until smooth and the dough becomes smooth. Add flour and liquid milk alternately while stirring using a mixer on low speed until blended. Set aside the dough.
  6. Then, pour the mixture into 3 love-shaped baking sheets and lined with parchment paper. Bake the dough cake in the oven at 180 C for 20 - 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool.
  7. Cake assembly: cake for the first layer, then add 80 grams of cream cheese. Use a spatula to spread the cream cheese.
  8. Then, place the second layer of cake again. The method is the same as the first layer of cake. Do this step until the third cake layer.
  9. When finished, decorate the top of the cake using cream cheese. Store in the refrigerator for about 20-30 minutes.
