Bread Mix White With Cheesy Garlic Twists!
I also wrote this recipe on instagram and facebook. Cheesy Garlic Twists! I made these using a packet of white bread mix, adding a melted cheese centre and drizzling in garlic parsley butter! Made a lovely change from regular garlic bread- we had it with our spag bol, but it would work with any soup or pasta dinner. recipe is below, let me know what you think.
Ingredients:
- 500g white bread mix
- 320ml warm water
- 8 cubes of cheddar cheese 3-5cm
- 80g Butter
- 2 cloves garlic finely sliced
- A small handful of parsley finely chopped.
Instructions:
- Place the bread mix in a mixing bowl and stir in the warm water until it forms a dough.
- Rest the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Knead the dough for 2 minutes, leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll and stretch each piece into a sasage shape, around 20cm long.
- Tie each length into a loose knot. Place the knots on a greased baking tray.
- Place a piece of cheddar between the knot of each one so that it's hidden.
- Cover the tray in a tea towel and put in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 210C°, Bake the rolls for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Whilst they're baking, make the garlic butter.
- Place the butter in a saucepan and add the garlic. Melt the butter and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the parsley. When the rolls are out of the oven, spoon over garlic butter whilst they're still hot.
